Sydney VC News: MVP seed briefing
The first working news surface for Sydney Startup Guide.
This is the first working news surface for Sydney Startup Guide. It exists to prove the publishing loop before the autonomous Researcher agent starts running on schedule.
The initial guide shape borrows from the London and SF guide pattern: a practical city map for founders and operators, with funds, programmes, places, people, and current ecosystem signals. MVP 1 keeps the scope narrower: one weekly Sydney/Australia VC ecosystem briefing, plus high-confidence updates to the structured funds directory.
The current investor records are seed scaffold data. They are not yet a fully source-verified directory. The first Researcher runs will verify, correct, and expand them through reviewed merge requests.
What changed
- Seeded the first Sydney/Australia VC directory records.
- Created the
/newssection as the first live content stream. - Added
/agent-runsso every future automated update has an audit trail. - Added a roadmap for future guide sections after the first agent loop works.
What the Researcher should watch first
- Funding rounds involving Sydney or Australia-based startups.
- New fund announcements and fund closes.
- Partner, principal, and operator moves at active investors.
- Accelerator application windows and programme closures.
- Public commentary from VCs that helps founders understand current market appetite.
Publishing rule
The Researcher does not publish directly. It opens a GitLab merge request with source-linked changes. Production updates ship only after review and merge.
